ok sitrep
the steady stream of water has stopped!!! the huge bubble in my ceiling has been ripped away and my light fixture no longer resembles a sprinkler system. apparently the guy above me has Drain Problems so that whenever he takes a bath (like he was doing last night) it drains down into my ceiling. what worries me most is that he’s lived up there for four months and this is only the first time it’s happened.
the carpets are really, really gross - wet and nasty and smelly. they’re sending someone out on monday to extract. my bathroom throw rug is a lost cause, that’s going in the bin. i’m out of towels to put down, too - those are going to have to go in the wash.
BUT i can still pee and shower and more or less use the bathroom so i think things are going to be alright here! i’m not hungover so much as just tired so all in all i would call this a successful weekend.
